Trans Rescue is a global, volunteer-run organisation helping transgender, intersex, and queer people escape life-threatening danger.
We work in more than 70 countries where being LGBTQ+ can mean imprisonment, violence, or worse.
To date, we have helped over 165 people reach safety.
We don’t just give advice.
We help people get out.
Why Your Support Matters
We are a 98% volunteer organisation.
When someone contacts us, it is often because they have no safe options left.
We do not receive large institutional funding.
We rely on individuals who choose to act.

Make a Donation
Every rescue depends on funding.
If you are making a contribution of more than 5000 EUR, we thank you. We can arrange for it to be tax deductible in most countries, including the USA. If you pay taxes in the Netherlands, we are an ANBI registered charity. Drop us an email at annie@transrescue.org .
If your employer has an employee corporate social responsibility program, donation matching program, or employee directed donation, you can often extend your impact by donating via your employer. Fundraise
Want to support Trans Rescue while having fun? No time for an ongoing volunteer gig? Put on a fundraising event.
This could be most any event that brings people together – it doesn’t have to be cocktail dresses and wine, it could be a crazy night of nightclubbing or even a hobby activity – 4 EUR to enter the RC car race, and the prize donated by the local hobby shop. Take your amateur puppet group out to the park on a saturday afternoon, put out a bucket with our logo. Check out our Party With A Purpose program.
Partnerships
We have capabilities your for-profit may find useful in fulfilling it’s own mission. Do you have LGBT staff and operate in areas that lack human rights protection? We can assist you in ensuring staff safety. Do you need to operate world wide, but are not large enough to do so on your own? We operate almost everywhere, and can help you do so.
We collaborate with for-profits in surprising ways. Yes, we can advise you on setting up cafes in Davao – we’ve done it before. We operate a sausage eggy stand in Nairobi, a potato delivery operation in Dar es Salaam, and a rhinestone setting operation in Egypt. We are working with software firms wanting to take advantage of lower labor costs in the global south.
We collaborate with governmental entities, organisations, advocates, and networks working in human rights and migration. We are happy to work on resource mobilisation for projects related to our core mission.
