We assist trans and queer individuals in relocating from dangerous areas to safer places. If you are trans, intersex, or from the LGBTQI+ community and need assistance or are in danger because you love someone in those groups, you are in the right place. Note that we cannot help those under 18 but can provide guidance until they reach adulthood.
Dangerous Places
Are you in a dangerous place? Are you threatened by family, community, or government? We don’t require you to have money. We help you move legally and safely, but we cannot always make that the country you want. We can get you to a place of safety, freedom, and reasonable quality of life.
How We Help
Legal Relocation — We help you move legally, utilizing normal airline flights or trains.
Emergency Contact — Reach us via:
- Email: annie+intake@transrescue.org
- Telegram: Join the @Trans_Rescue group and request a staff member. Only talk to those listed in the pinned message.
- Secure Communication: Use a VPN to contact us via Signal on +31629252517 if you’re in monitored countries like Saudi Arabia or Afghanistan. We can provide French, Russian, Urdu, and Arabic translators readily, with others on request.
Countries of New Concern
If you are in a country like the US, UK, or Brazil, where the situation for trans people was once tolerable but is deteriorating, we can offer advice and resources to help you plan your migration. We cannot fund your travel from these countries, but we can help in these ways:
- We have a YouTube channel with information about leaving your country. And we have articles on this website about leaving.
- Make an appointment for a free one-hour session, where we’ll help you develop or improve your leave plan by emailing usa-campaign@transrescue.org. Don’t feel like we have others with greater need or think you need to have made decisions before talking with us. We will help anyone. Don’t feel it’s impossible for you. Our clients frequently start these conversations with “I have no options” and end with “I can do this.”
The best single thing you can do to keep yourself safe is to have a passport. If you are in a country of new concern and have a passport, you can leave if you have one.
