We assist trans and queer individuals in relocating from dangerous areas to safer places. If you are trans, intersex, or from the LGBTQI+ community and need assistance or are in danger because you love someone in those groups, you are in the right place. Note that we cannot help those under 18 but can provide guidance until they reach adulthood.
Dangerous Places
Are you in a dangerous place? Are you threatened by family, community, or government? We don’t require you to have money. We help you move legally and safely, but we cannot always make that the country you want. We can get you to a place of safety, freedom, and reasonable quality of life.
How We Help
Legal Relocation — We help you move legally, utilizing normal airline flights or trains.
Emergency Contact — Reach us via:
- Email: contact@transrescue.org
- Telegram: Join the @Trans_Rescue group and request a staff member. Only talk to those listed in the pinned message.
- Secure Communication: Use a VPN to contact us via Signal at transrescue.17 if you’re in monitored countries like Saudi Arabia or Afghanistan. We can provide French, Russian, Urdu, and Arabic translators readily, with others on request.
Countries of New Concern
If you are in a country like the US, UK, or Brazil, where the situation for trans people was once tolerable but is deteriorating, we can offer advice and resources to help you plan your migration. We cannot fund your travel from these countries, but we can help in these ways:
- We have a YouTube channel with information about leaving your country. And we have articles on this website about leaving.
- We host regular open office hours for you to come and ask questions about your situation and brainstorm with others. We ask everyone to first review our YouTube videos, as space in office hours is limited and better used for questions not handled by the presentations.
- See our Post Election Assistance to the USA blog post for more information, including the office hours schedule and instructions on joining the Google Meet sessions.
The best single thing you can do to keep yourself safe is to have a passport. If you are in a country of new concern and have a passport, you can leave if you have one.
